Risk Management for Student Organizations

The Office of Student Engagement supports the planning and execution of student events. To that end, there are times when events may take a higher level of risk due to certain factors.

Recognized Student Organizations and their individual members are not covered by the University’s liability insurance. Additional insurance will need to be obtained by these organizations for events and activities of higher risk conducted by the organization and its members.

Events Involving Physical Activity

For events that include physical activity, contact Business Services for a liability waiver at 308-865-8448. Liability waivers are required.
